[Wally skids up alongside Conner just a couple minutes later, flapping out his t-shirt and grimacing, shading his eyes from the sun.] Geez. Do you get like ultra powered up with sunlight this strong, or is it just kind of the same as normal?

[He shrugs and looks up at the sun. Remember, solar suit that allowed him to absorb a loooot of sunlight that he wore most of his life? Yeah.] I don't feel any different from normal.

Huh. That's not fair. [No a power boost or a sunburn? Can't get anything out of it. Must be rough being Kryptonian.]

Anyway, let's go. [Wally wipes his forehead with the hem of his shirt.] The sooner we get into A/C, the better. What'd you say you needed, shirts and stuff?

I could probably get as close to the sun as possible and still not feel a big difference. [He's stuck with the powers he has.

SB heads into the store.] Just a couple of them and some other essentials that I haven't already picked up.

Essentialssssss... [ok wally] Dude, I never knew how much crap my mom had to buy to keep our house running, y'know? Who thinks about that stuff? [parents do u idiot]

That's why I leave the shopping lists to Megan and just carry stuff. Plus, she does most of the cooking anyway.

That's another thing I can't handle here, there's so much cooking to do! Like, every day! I can't handle that kind of responsibility. [He's been buying lots of frozen stuff. In bulk. Guess how many Pizza Rolls he had yesterday!]

I've been living off of take-out and things that don't involve cooking. We definitely need to find someone who can cook, maybe we could pay them to cook for us. [He feels you, man. Ugh, no thanks. When someone starts eating them by the bagful, Conner's not keen to keep count.]

I'm spending like 90% of what I earn on food already, dude. I dunno who I'm gonna pay to cook. [Wally grabs Conner's sleeve and turns into a clothing store. Try not to get an entire rack of the same shirt again, pal.]

Shame that we don't have Batman's credit card anymore. [Which...how does that even work? How does a masked hero get a credit card? Does he have to sign for it as The Batman?]

Did they stick you with a part-time job too? If they did, you could always get a full-time one.

Nah, can't. The labor laws here say you gotta be eighteen to work full-time. [Wally flips through a few shirts boredly. None of these are his colors, ugh.]

I hope we're not here long enough for us to turn eighteen. [SB sort of lazily browses through them. Chances are he will get the same plain black t-shirts.]

Hey, are you going to school?

Nope. Not on your life. [Wally picks out this horribly garish yellow t-shirt with white stripes. no.] I mean, obviously if it was literally on your life then I would give it some serious consideration, but no. [oh he puts it back thank god]

If you can't get a full-time job and aren't going to school, what are you going to do with all of that time? [Plz don't tell him you're gonna watch tv all day. Oh look. T-shirts.]

Probably not. I mean, there's a whole world of TV shows I've never seen, so I'm pretty sure I've got at least a good three or four months before it gets old.
