She waits until he's collected himself well enough to at least sit down or something and then she's offering a convenience store bag.]
Here. Some fuel while they work on making two of everything.

When Gogo produces that bag Kid gives her a wobbly look, like he's about to fake-cry and he digs through the bag for the energy bars inside.] Hmigod.
Okay, [he swallows] technically I should be treating you? Since this was your first monster fight, I'm guessing? You did good though. [another] Sorry I didn't make it in time to help out.

[She got him several bottles to drink, too. One day she'll make up a list of exactly what he needs to refuel properly, but for now she figured a scientific guess would have to do.]
Re: action
Oooh, Powerade! [Kid unscrews the cap and drinks half before coming up for air.] -Anyway, if you could schedule any future crises around my calendar I'd appreciate it, thank you.
action
And sure, just leave me a copy of your itinerary and I'll be sure to ask them next time 'could you wait about six more hours? A thing has come up elsewhere and I need to move you to a new timeslot'.
Re: action
So! C'mon, give me details. I seriously have no idea why you aren't bragging my ear off right now, I'd have already told half the town.
Re: action
She leans back against her hands, wrinkling her nose distastefully.] I'm not even entirely sure this is a thing that happened to me. It's going to take me a week to get the slime off my armor. [Which she had changed out of at some point between the fight and now. Though she's still exaggerating. It all pretty much dissolved with the solution Honey had made up, but still. It'll feel gross until she cleans it properly.]
I will never underestimate the stupidity of mankind ever again. Can you believe people were trying to take selfies with the things? [There's a bit of a shudder at that. The kid had almost lost his leg. If she'd hadn't been there...]
action
Yeah. I mean- that sorta stuff happens back home all the time. People don't really get the danger of it 'cause there's heroes running all over, or 'cause they've never been in danger. [KF mimics her posture and shrugs his shoulders, crossing his ankles.] I mean it's stupid, it's really stupid, but I'd rather have a city full of stupid happy people than a city full of scared people.
action
I can get behind reasoning like that. I'm going to upgrade the armor as soon as I can. Probably isn't the best idea to run field tests against living jello, but we work with what we've got, right?
Besides, it all worked out. Honey and a couple other chemistry people figured out a solution to dissolve it so after that it was just a matter of getting it into position.
Re: action
Anyway, sometimes you gotta field test in crisis situations. Spontaneity is the ally of the physical scientist or whatever.
You can quote me on that, that's mine.
Re: action
Would you go by Dr. Flash?
action
So you really don't wanna do the hero thing, or was that because this time it really sucked?
action
I...
It wasn't that bad? I can't deny the thrill of it, and I really don't like the taste of sitting back and watching while people get hurt. But I'm not a hero, you know? I put on the armor to capture one guy, and I was told we won, but I don't remember that at all. I kinda feel like a kid just dressing up and pretending to be important.
[She winces slightly. It sounds like she's crying for attention or something and that's just...no.]
I've used the armor all of a day before being brought here. Beyond our objective I'm just an engineer that likes to race.
Re: action
My mentor told me that he feels like that at least once a month, and he's been doing this for years and years. But then he remembers what you said, about not wanting to see people get hurt when he knows he coulda stopped it, and it's an easy decision then.
Re: action
Your mentor must be a pretty lucky guy.
