She leans back against her hands, wrinkling her nose distastefully.] I'm not even entirely sure this is a thing that happened to me. It's going to take me a week to get the slime off my armor. [Which she had changed out of at some point between the fight and now. Though she's still exaggerating. It all pretty much dissolved with the solution Honey had made up, but still. It'll feel gross until she cleans it properly.]

I will never underestimate the stupidity of mankind ever again. Can you believe people were trying to take selfies with the things? [There's a bit of a shudder at that. The kid had almost lost his leg. If she'd hadn't been there...]

Ethel? Geez. [Why would she willingly pick a name like that as her secretary alias? The girl's got a few screws loose but whatever.]

Yeah. I mean- that sorta stuff happens back home all the time. People don't really get the danger of it 'cause there's heroes running all over, or 'cause they've never been in danger. [KF mimics her posture and shrugs his shoulders, crossing his ankles.] I mean it's stupid, it's really stupid, but I'd rather have a city full of stupid happy people than a city full of scared people.

I can get behind reasoning like that. I'm going to upgrade the armor as soon as I can. Probably isn't the best idea to run field tests against living jello, but we work with what we've got, right?

Besides, it all worked out. Honey and a couple other chemistry people figured out a solution to dissolve it so after that it was just a matter of getting it into position.

Aww yeah, science saves the day. [Kid grins to himself and drinks half of his blue Powerade so he can mix it with the red.]

Anyway, sometimes you gotta field test in crisis situations. Spontaneity is the ally of the physical scientist or whatever.

It wasn't that bad? I can't deny the thrill of it, and I really don't like the taste of sitting back and watching while people get hurt. But I'm not a hero, you know? I put on the armor to capture one guy, and I was told we won, but I don't remember that at all. I kinda feel like a kid just dressing up and pretending to be important.

[She winces slightly. It sounds like she's crying for attention or something and that's just...no.]

I've used the armor all of a day before being brought here. Beyond our objective I'm just an engineer that likes to race.

[KF shrugs his shoulders, unconcerned as he sits back on his hands again.] Loads of heroes feel like that sometimes, it doesn't really go away.

My mentor told me that he feels like that at least once a month, and he's been doing this for years and years. But then he remembers what you said, about not wanting to see people get hurt when he knows he coulda stopped it, and it's an easy decision then.

[She watches him for awhile, thinking about that with the same amount of attention she gives a new design. Finally, she smirks.]

Your mentor must be a pretty lucky guy.

Because he has me?! Psh, I know. [Kid stretches out his legs in front of him and cocks his head to the side.] I'm so great and I'm basically the best sidekick anybody could ask for. He hit the freakin' jackpot with me.

Because he clearly has the patience of a saint. [Nevermind that he hit it right on the nose. Gogo thinks he's awesome.

She stands and stretches, still sore from running around all day.]

Come on, I believe I promised you food.

Oh my god you did! [Kid jumps up and brushes off his legs, gathering all his garbage and shoving it into an overstuffed trash can nearby.] You're my favorite. Have I told you that? Of everybody here, you are my favorite.

I bet you say that to everyone who feeds you.

[She moves to hold the door open for him, her expression just shy of a grin.]

I only say that to the people who deserve it. [so the people who feed him. also totally just walking in like he's not failing in chivalry over here. gogo, you befriended this......]

[Please, as if chivalry is a thing she looks for in her friends. She gets plenty of door holding from Tadashi.]
