Yep, that's what they say about me. [Wally puts his feet up on the coffee table.] There's a lot of advantages to being shameless. You should give it a shot.

Well, if you insist.

[ Dick looks at Wally like a kitten preparing to pounce, and crosses the distance between them to press a quick, slightly brownie-flavored kiss to the side of Wally's mouth. ]

[Dick draws back and Wally's heart pounds, just a little. It's a natural reaction, he thinks, to getting kissed. It's not like he gets kissed every day after all.] ...yeah. Yeah, like that. You've um...got the hang of it.

What do you know? You were right.

[ And, like it isn't a big deal, like he isn't all lightheaded and his stomach doesn't have butterflies, like he isn't half certain Wally's gonna bolt right off the couch, he gets up to clear their dishes from the table. ]

Whoa dude hang on, where's the fire? [Wally grabs Robin's wrist as he reaches for the plates and pulls him back down to sit on the couch.]

[ Well, if Wally insists. He's not sure what to make of this development, but — casual. Casual casual casual. ]

Gonna save me from chores?

I'm serious dude. [Wally takes the plate from Robin and puts it back down on the coffee table.] Look, just because I'm not used to...this...whatever it is, doesn't mean you gotta run off all the time.

... So, nix the hit and run?

Well yeah, I mean- what're you even running for?

[ Hahaha. He shrugs, the tips of his ears a little pink. ]

Believe it or not, despite this incredibly suave and confident exterior, I get nervous, too. Very, very occasionally.

[ And maybe he doesn't actually know what step two is after you kiss someone, but he doesn't want to admit that. ]

[Wally's brow scrunches up like he doesn't quite understand, but then he's leaning in and kissing Robin solidly, right on the mouth. It's short and sweet and he doesn't linger like Robin did, but maybe that's just because that's more his style.

He takes a second to gather his thoughts after that, his own ears a little red.]

Relax. I'm not grading you, dude.

[ That sparking sound is just Robin's brain shorting out. Don't worry about it. ]

... And here I was hoping for a gold star sticker.

[Wally groans.] Dude, you're killing me here. You know how long it took me to work up the nerve to actually bring this up as a serious topic?

[ ... sigh ]

I was trying to cut the tension. I hate the tension. It makes us act all weird.

Makes you act all weird. [no wally p sure it makes u act weird too] Look, [he says as he stands and grabs up the dishes and plates,] I'll admit it, okay. It's kind of...weird. Awkward. But it's not like I'm gonna get used to it if we just kind of dance around it, right? [kind of like what he's doing with the topic right now actually]

[ Wait why is Wally allowed to leave when he's not allowed to leave? UNFAIR. He's getting followed to the kitchen. ]

So I should stick around after I kiss you.

[FUMBLING DISHES INTO SINK wow that was loud]

Yyyyes. That's what I'm saying. [Wally studiously checks to make sure he didn't crack the lasagna pan.]

[ Robin winces, half in sympathy and half because that was really noisy. ]

You're gonna break the sink, dude.

[ He folds his arms, considering Wally. ] But sure. I can do that. I mean, that is the goal. Un-weirding it.

Exactly. [Wally points at Robin.] Yes. That.

See, now you're all tense! This is exactly what I didn't want.

[ jeeeeeeeeez why is talking the worst ]

Look, dude, I think we should go sit on the couch and watch a bad sci-fi movie 'til it gets dark enough to go patrol. And we can snuggle, but only exactly as much as we always do.

Mmm...only if you don't call it snuggling. Pick something more manly.
