[When Gogo doesn't move or say anything for a while, Kid glances down to make sure she's not asleep. Actually, she looks kind of-]

Oh geez, are you gonna puke? [He veers to the left and slows down, which probably isn't very helpful and grabs the top off a nearby trashcan.] Okay, okay, easy, easy.

[She's found that when her stomach is roiling, it isn't until it starts to settle that it decides to rebel violently. Not a sensation she's very familiar with, admittedly.

Still, she's grateful he stopped, because the nausea was starting to make her muscles ache and sometimes throwing up is the only thing one can do to feel even marginally better. It reminds her uncomfortably of the flu.]

Shit...shit. Th' hell was in those syringes?

[She keeps her head over the trash for a couple minutes more, even as she steadies, not even realizing that this is the easier consequence of what others were going through.]

Creepy bad guy drug cocktail, if I had to guess. [Kid winces and rubs her back as she spits.] You really, really should go to a hospital.

You're right. [She groans, chills running up her spine. She hadn't been sick once since she arrived here. Must be one hell of a cocktail to make the nanites work this hard.]

Sorry, Kid. Looks like I need a detour after all.

[She brushes her hair out of her face and offers him a lopsided smile.]

Hey, I'm used to route changes. Just call me Yellow Cab. [he's already dressed the part after all] Or, y'know, if the running thing isn't working out we can call an actual cab.

It's not as good as Beta Flash.

Although you sitting in a cab is probably a hilarious image.

[She shakes her head.] I'll be fine. Just a little slower, I don't think I have my immunity anymore.

Right. I can do slow. [no he can't

But he'll try. He picks Gogo back up and the pace he takes for the hospital is much more sedate. And if he's holding her a little closer to his chest than is strictly necessary? Well. Who can blame him?]

[She doesn't immediately want to be sick again, the worst of the nausea seemingly abated for now, so she leans against his chest and tucks her head in the crook of his shoulder. She feels chilled, but isn't particularly worried.

She's quiet for several minutes, running numbers in her head, and doesn't even open her eyes until they're nearing the hospital.]

Can you stay? [No obligation. There are still people out there that could need Kid Flash. As much as she'd rather her boyfriend be with her, she's not going to get in the way of his job.]

[Kid hesitates; he should head back, see if they still need help, but when he'd arrived the authorities were already cleaning up and helping other casualties. It should be fine.

Besides, she needs him.]

Yeah, absolutely. I love ER waiting rooms, that's where all the best stories come from.

[She snorts. She hates hospitals. Spent two much time alone in them with sports injuries. Her shoulders relax with the relief of not having to be alone tonight.]

You'll have to tell me some of these stories. It might make me like it better.
